 Annual Family & Friends Day

Active July 2023, Transcend partially dedicated its programming to the the list of resources provided by Altgeld Murray Homes; located on Southside of Chicago. As a native of the "Gardens", it is a goal to commit to showing up and giving back to my HOOD. This is conducted through the therapeutic programming provided to the neighborhood, seasonally. We 'Meditate, Chant, Step, Dance, Box, Swim, Grow + Heal, Breakthrough + Celebrate';

Transcend preps its youth for participation in Chicago's "Altgeld Annual Back to School Parade & Picnic". We dedicate 6-8 weeks, in Summer, to exhibit sportsmanship, teamwork, confidence, and a flare for the ART of performing within their language & community. We encourage the youth to express and showcase their innate talents, as well their adapted skills. Ultimately contributing to the accent of mainstream traditions, as well as maintain historical and cultural heritage.

Chicago Park District

Carver Park

Active September 2023, Transcend entered into a partnership with Chicago’s Park District. Programming is currently being serviced out of Carver Park, located on the Southside of Chicago. We are conducting community based initiatives with Carver Park; implementing more programs not only focused on girls but boys! Transcend aims to encourage its youth to feel that they are not alone in this world. It is essential to make them feel important & find purpose in everything that they currently do. The easiest way to do this is LOVE. Hence, service, a form of love that works wonders for your mental health. Providing this form of care reduces the feeling of isolation & depression, in both genders, while simultaneously increasing sense of belonging and happiness. Colluding timelessly with Carver Park to provide effective and fun extracurricular activities that encourage wholesome life skill!

Peace & Hope Academy

Kigali, Rwanda 

Active February 2024, Transcend Life pledged ambassadorship with Peace and Hope Academy Initiative; Universally spreading “heart work” within Kigali, Rwanda. Internationally here to advocate needs for the

 underprivileged youth in African villages. The children here are in need of American English, language, and structure. As an representative, we are positioned to assist with literature, arts, cognitive and adventure therapy. We are fully invested in promoting awareness and contributing to making a difference in the world. We extend our mission, to help support those in need, internationally. Our holistic approach and concern for underprivileged youth & families are much in alignment with core values and goals within the system at Peace and Hope

Academy.
